DEKENDRICK G. MURRAY, MSL
CEO/President
Dekendrick Murray is the CEO and Founder of HERITAGE Leadership & Coaching Institute. Raised in the small rural city of Quincy, Fl., Dekendrick is an advocate for the social mobility, access, retention, and graduation of first-generation, limited income, and underrepresented individuals. Dekendrick is also passionate about helping all discover their identity, purpose, and assignment. He helps to activate this through mentoring & coaching, professional speaking, and organizational & team development sessions. Currently, he holds a B.S. in Family, Youth, & Community Sciences from the University of Florida and a M.S. in Instructional Leadership and Organizational Development from Jacksonville University.
Dekendrick believes firmly in the work of TRIO programs. He is a TRIO Alumni of Educational Talent Search (FAMU), Upward Bound (FSU), Upward Bound Math/Science Regional Institute (Morehouse College), & the Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program (UF). He was also named the 2018 FL TRIO Achiever. Currently, he serves as one of the Fairshare Liaisons for the Florida TRIO Executive Board and as an Assistant Director for the Office of Academic Support at the University of Florida where he oversees their TRIO Student Support Services Program.
Above all, he values God, Health, Marriage, Family, & Financial Stewardship. Dekendrick is married to his college sweatheart, Sabreen, and they have one daughter, Kendall Grace.​
